@xSK3PTiiKx I have a great sense of humour, thanks, but calling someone the R word is not the least bit funny. It’s very insulting and demeaning, and Christopher Reeve certainly did NOT deserve that. I’ve experienced a great deal in my life, thank you, and I have a sister who’s disabled too. And can’t you comment without the use of swearing?? You really need to learn the meaning of the word “respect.” How about living life in a wheelchair for a day?? Maybe then you’d wake up. Grow up!!!!

@dotmacis my best friend’s dad is also in a wheel chair after a serious car accident, he is paralysed neck downwards and it was pretty bad to see my friend suffer with the psychological affects he experienced over the past 20 years, we’re 24 now so were still young :D, but im just saying that people mature at different ages and sometime a kid show is not the best way to get a message across to the young ones, but to be fair the kids will have to learner sooner or later

@nattynever hey, who is deeper underground ?? me or christopher reeves??, he probably could not even do a wheelie, hey!! if he does a 69 with a hooker on his wheelchair you could call it “meals on wheels” hahaha, but now he is worm food, pushing up daisies, fertilizer, and no christopher reeves does not need anybody to defend him, since he is FUCKING DEAD! hahaha, and the fact that you wont defend me is reeeeeeeeeally keeping me up all night crying :(

I’m just having fun on how small your brain is.. Problably the size of your balls.. no wait.. forgot.. you don’t have any balls.. I really would love to see you one day sitting on a wheelchair and not be able to walk away.. and than laugh my ass off of you crying like a little girl

@beopenminded1 Just remember that the last thing a person in a wheelchair needs, is pity. Just try to treat the person like you would anyone else. And always ask the person if he or she needs help with anything. Never assume.

    03. Nov, 2010

@grubsta And why wouldn’t they? That’s how kids learn. It’s better that kids learn how to ask the appropriate questions, rather than just stare at a person in a wheelchair. That way, they learn to see the person first, and not the wheelchair first.

@IrishSkyWatcher You really need to grow up. My sister’s a wheelchair user, and she’s definitely NOT a vegetable. I suggest you learn the real meaning of the word “respect.”

  16. dotmacis

    03. Nov, 2010

@Uniqueindividual91 Why? Your life doesn’t stop just because you suddenly become disabled.

  17. dotmacis

    03. Nov, 2010

@xSK3PTiiKx You know what?? You have the worst disability of all, and that’s your attitude. Grow up!!!!!

  18. dotmacis

    03. Nov, 2010

@lesrambles1 Grow up and show some respect. Just because the man’s in a wheelchair, doesn’t mean he’s mentally challenged. I suggest you try living life from a wheelchair even for just one day. You’ll really wake up then.

@arturojsc You have to remember, that’s what a lot of kids would say. And his life wasn’t filled with sadness. He had a lot of joy in his life, and an incredible support system.

    03. Nov, 2010

@atirisdes Actually, he was able to move more than just his head. He could move his shoulders and arms, and through water therapy was actually able to start moving his legs. And he accomplished far more in his life, than many of us could ever hope to accomplish.

@Fl0wersInTheWind0w Sesame Street has touched on some very sensitive issues over the years, and rightly so. It helps the children learn better. I’ll always remember watching the episode about Mr. Hooper’s death. And by the way, my sister’s also a wheelchair user. She’s more than happy when kids approach and ask her things about her disability and wheelchair, etc. It better teaches them how not to stare. And she loves to give rides to the smaller kids too … :o)

  24. nattynever

    04. Nov, 2010

@elcondepatula Because you really think He expected people to be sorry for him??? You really are a fucking egocentric full of shit head.. He couldn’t give less shit of you, or your life.. You really are so stupid to think that accidents only happen trying to be an adventure boy?? You can become like him just putting a wrong step on the stairs. You don’t need to be in a wheelchair to have people feeling sorry for you. You already do a great job now, plus you won’t have the stones to survive a day
